Nottinghamshire Police have issued an appeal directly to the public in Northern Ireland as part of a cross-border effort to locate a man wanted for breaching a court order.

Police are trying to trace 39-year-old Thinkwell Javangwe, also known as Thinkwall, who remains at large despite ongoing enquiries. Officers believe he may currently be in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland, who may have recently travelled there.

While Javangwe has known links to the Hucknall area of Nottinghamshire, police say he is also most likely linked to Northern Ireland, prompting an appeal to local communities to remain alert and report any sightings.

Detectives say the support of the public in Northern Ireland could prove crucial in helping to locate him.

Detective Chief Inspector Clare Dean, of Nottinghamshire Police, said officers are working intensively to track him down and urged anyone with information to come forward.

“We are working hard to track this individual down and are appealing for the public to help us. If you know where he is, then please let us know.

“Please be aware that allowing him to remain on your property would mean you could be assisting an offender, which is a serious offence.”

Members of the public in Northern Ireland are advised not to approach Javangwe. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 999 immediately.

If you have information about his whereabouts, particularly if he is in Northern Ireland, you are urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101.

Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which operates across Northern Ireland and the UK.

Police say even limited information could assist officers in locating Javangwe and returning him to court.
