Police appeal for information after number of vehicles damaged



Police are appealing for information following criminal damage to a number of cars in the Suffolk Street, Glenshesk Drive and Broadway Avenue areas of Ballymena on Wednesday morning (18th May).


Shortly after 8am, it was reported that two cars had been parked outside a business premises in the Broadway Avenue overnight. When the owner returned, the windows had been smashed on both vehicles.



A second report was received shortly before 9am stating that sometime overnight windows had been smashed on a car parked outside the owner’s home in Suffolk Street.


At approximately 9.15am, a third report was received in relation to criminal damage to a fourth vehicle in the Glenshesk Drive area. At around 2.15am, a neighbour heard a loud bang and looked out to see three people run off. The rear window of the car had been smashed.



We are treating these incidents as being linked and are appealing for anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious in either of these areas overnight, anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage, or with any information, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 227 of 18/05/22.
