Police appeal for help as concern grows for missing 21-year-old in Cookstown

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 21-year-old man reported missing in Cookstown, prompting an urgent public appeal for information.

Taylor Stewart was last seen in the Church Heights area of Cookstown at approximately 5.30am on Thursday, 1 January, sparking fears for his safety as the search continues into the day.

Taylor is described as being approximately 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with dark hair and brown eyes.

Officers say efforts are ongoing to establish his whereabouts, while family and friends are understood to be deeply worried as time passes with no confirmed sightings.

Anyone who has seen Taylor, or who has information that could help police trace his movements, is urged to come forward immediately.

Police have asked that anyone with information contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1108 01/01/26.

Members of the public are also encouraged to share the appeal widely, as police continue efforts to locate Taylor and ensure he is safe.
