A high-energy daytime rave created exclusively for the over-30s crowd is set to bring a Bank Holiday boost to Theatre at The Mill next month, offering music lovers the chance to hit the dancefloor without the usual late-night finish.

Taking place on Sunday 3 May 2026, the special event will run from 3pm to 7pm, transforming the venue into an afternoon party space filled with classic tunes, live performance elements and feel-good nostalgia.

Headlined by Yeooo DJ, the event promises “big tunes and feel-good nostalgia”, with live bongos and saxophone performances adding to the atmosphere and keeping the dancefloor moving throughout the four-hour session.

Designed specifically for the 30+ audience, the Bank Holiday rave offers a lively social alternative for those who still enjoy a club-style atmosphere but prefer an earlier finish, making it an appealing option for revellers looking to make the most of the long weekend.

A daytime party with a different twist

Unlike traditional late-night club events, the over-30s rave is built around the growing popularity of daytime parties, where guests can enjoy the same high-energy experience in a more accessible timeslot.

Running from mid-afternoon until early evening, the event is aimed at people who want the excitement of a rave atmosphere without the prospect of a 2am end time.

With a ticket price of £15, organisers are positioning the event as a Bank Holiday highlight for music fans across the wider Antrim and Belfast area.

Part of wider ‘Mayhem at The Mill’ programme

The daytime rave forms part of the broader Mayhem at The Mill series, a multi-event programme running from May through to October.

The wider series includes a packed calendar of tribute nights and genre-led events, offering something for a broad range of musical tastes.

Among the upcoming events are Ska Saturday, featuring Doghouse and Stiff Little Busker, alongside Metal at The Mill, with performances from Sound of Sabbath and EZ/DC.

The programme reflects a strong push to position Theatre at The Mill as a destination venue for live entertainment and themed music nights throughout the summer and autumn months.

Easy access for local and Belfast audiences

Set within the grounds of Mossley Mill, the venue is well placed for visitors travelling from across the borough and beyond.

The theatre is located just a five-minute walk from Mossley West train station, making it easily accessible by public transport, while those travelling by car from Belfast can expect a journey of around 15 minutes.

Visitors attending the event can also make use of free on-site parking, a licensed bar, and a choice of nearby restaurants and cafés, making it easy to turn the afternoon event into a full Bank Holiday outing.

Tickets for the over-30s daytime rave are on sale now through Theatre at The Mill and the wider Mayhem at The Mill event programme.
