Joanne Deighan, Senior Commercial Manager, Belfast International Airport and Jaclyn Coulter, HR Director, Belfast International Airport.
Belfast International Airport is set to host its first major recruitment event of 2026, offering more than 100 job opportunities as it prepares for a busy summer season and continues a £100 million transformation programme.
The New Year Jobs Fair will take place on Saturday 31 January 2026, from 11am to 3pm, at the Voco Hotel in the Gasworks area of Belfast, bringing together airport teams and a wide range of partner employers under one roof.
The event is aimed at supporting the airport’s ongoing growth and investment as passenger numbers increase ahead of the peak travel months. Belfast International Airport, a member of the VINCI Airports network, is recruiting across multiple departments and services that keep the airport running day to day.
Teams from Belfast International Airport will be joined by recruitment representatives from partner companies including Swissport, Wilson James, Mount Charles, the Airport Taxi company, Pret and Mitie.
Staff will be available throughout the day to discuss available roles, explain salaries and benefits, and provide guidance to candidates during the application process.
More than 100 full-time, part-time and seasonal positions are currently available across a range of areas, including ground handling, security, retail, driving and catering, offering opportunities for both experienced professionals and those seeking to enter the aviation and travel sector for the first time.
The recruitment drive directly supports the airport’s £100 million investment programme, which is being delivered in phases. Phase one has already been completed and included the development of a new security building, an improved arrivals exit hall and an enhanced duty-free experience for passengers.
The next phase of investment will focus on airside departures, with plans to transform the food and beverage offering and introduce a broader range of outlets designed to improve the overall passenger experience.
Jaclyn Coulter, Human Resources Manager at Belfast International Airport, highlighted the long-term opportunities available to successful candidates.
She said:
“In order to support our wider transformation programme our airport partners are looking for a wide variety of roles available with attractive salaries and benefits. The Airport offers an exciting work environment and there are plenty of options to carve out a long-term career path within the travel and aviation sector.”
For many attendees, the jobs fair offers a chance to speak directly with employers, ask questions in person and gain a clearer understanding of what working at one of Northern Ireland’s key transport hubs involves.
Organisers are encouraging anyone interested in employment at the airport to attend on the day, whether they are actively job hunting, considering a career change or looking for seasonal work ahead of the summer period.
The Jobs Fair will take place on Saturday 31 January 2026, at Belfast’s Voco Hotel, Gasworks, Belfast, from 11am to 3pm.
