Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Jackson Minford
The Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Jackson Minford, has warmly congratulated a host of local residents who have been recognised in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours List for their exceptional contributions to public service, community welfare, and grassroots development.
Highlighting the pride and gratitude of the local community, Councillor Minford said:
“The King’s Honours List recognises the achievements of a wide range of extraordinary people from across the UK. It is wonderful to see so many local people recognised, and I would like to pass on a heartfelt congratulations to all those who received this highly prestigious accolade.
“Mid and East Antrim is fortunate to have so many people and organisations that go above and beyond to make a difference to the lives of others, and the King’s Birthday Honours are a fitting tribute to their tireless efforts. Well done again to all those awarded and thank you for all that you do.”
This year’s honours list includes eight distinguished individuals from the borough, each recognised for their outstanding service across a variety of sectors:
Honours recipients from Mid and East Antrim
Terence Pateman OBE
Chair of the Northern Amateur Football League, recognised for his services to grassroots sport and community relations.
Catherine Burke MBE
Lately Head of Musculoskeletal Services, Occupational Health and Wellbeing at the Police Service of Northern Ireland, honoured for services to health and wellbeing.
Samuel Crowe MBE
Recognised for his extensive services to the community in County Antrim.
Robert Dalton MBE
Principal and Head of the Historical Institutional Abuse Implementation Branch at The Executive Office, Northern Ireland Civil Service, awarded for services to victims and survivors of historical institutional abuse in Northern Ireland.
Jeffrey McClure BEM
Lately Emergency Planning Officer with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, commended for services to emergency planning.
Clara Smyth BEM
Honoured for her dedicated fundraising efforts in Northern Ireland, supporting a wide range of charitable causes.
Trevor Watson BEM
A part-time constable with the Police Service of Northern Ireland, recognised for his services to policing.
Wing Commander Richard Williams BEM
Celebrated for his dedicated service to the veteran community in Northern Ireland.
