The man has been charged with three counts of common assault after being arrested on Saturday, 30 May.
He is due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 25 June.
Police confirm further drugs enquiries ongoing
Police said the man was also bailed in relation to a number of drugs offences to allow further enquiries to be carried out.
No further details about the alleged assaults or the suspected drugs offences have been released at this stage.
As with all cases, the charges will now be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Court appearance scheduled for later this month
The case is expected to come before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court later this month, where the charges will be formally put before the court.
Under normal legal procedure, all charges are subject to review by prosecutors.
Police have not indicated whether further charges could follow as enquiries continue.
The latest case comes amid ongoing policing activity across the Ballymena area targeting suspected drug-related offending.
