Cannabis plants seized after the discovery in Co Tyrone

A man has been arrested after police discovered what is believed to be a cannabis factory containing around 300 plants at a property in Co Tyrone.

The discovery was made on Friday, 18 July, after officers carried out a search of a house in the Ardean Manor area of Moy.

Suspected cannabis factory uncovered

Police said approximately 300 cannabis plants were seized during the search.

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, possessing a Class B controlled drug, possessing a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, and being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug.

He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

Investigation ongoing

A PSNI spokesperson said targeting the supply of illegal drugs remains a policing priority.

The spokesperson added:

“Our investigation into this discovery is ongoing, and I would ask any member of the public who has any information which could be of assistance to police to contact the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1261 18/07/26.”
