Man, 45, charged after burglary at pharmacy in Ballymena

A 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a burglary at Boots pharmacy at Ballymena Health and Care Centre on the Cushendall Road in Ballymena, police have confirmed.
The alarm was raised on Thursday morning, February 12, when damage was discovered at the pharmacy premises within the health centre.
Police confirm arrest and charges
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said:
“Police investigating a burglary of a pharmacy in Ballymena on Thursday 12th February have arrested and charged a man to court.
The man (45) was charged with a number of burglary, going equipped for burglary and theft offences.
He was due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 14th February.”
The charges relate to burglary and associated offences, including going equipped for burglary and theft.
Court appearance scheduled
The accused was scheduled to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, February 14.
