Police have charged a 44-year-old man with a number of offences including making threats to kill, harassment and improper use of a telecommunications network.
The charges relate to online abuse towards Health Minister Robin Swann.
He is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates’ Court via videolink this morning (Wednesday 2 February).
As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
