Man (37) charged after half million pounds drugs seizure at Larne Port

A 37-year-old man has been charged to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Thursday 11 March.

He is charged with possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, and possession of an offensive weapon. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

This follows a proactive policing operation yesterday, Tuesday 9 March, at Larne Harbour, during which detectives from the Police Service’s Organised Crime Unit worked alongside Border Force, HMRC, and Roads and District Policing colleagues.
