M&S launches Christmas recruitment drive with 11,000 jobs paying £13.41 an hour

Jobseekers across Northern Ireland have the opportunity to apply for Christmas work with Marks & Spencer as the retailer launches a recruitment drive for 11,000 seasonal colleagues across its stores.
Applications are now open, with roles paying £13.41 per hour and the first successful candidates due to begin work from 25 October.
The recruitment campaign comes as M&S prepares for one of its busiest trading periods, with additional staff needed to support existing teams as customers shop for Christmas food, gifts, clothing and other festive essentials.

The seasonal positions involve hands-on work in busy stores, helping customers and supporting colleagues during the peak Christmas shopping period.
M&S says successful applicants will receive training, equipment and support to help them settle into their roles quickly.
The advertised hourly rate of £13.41 means someone working a 20-hour week would earn £268.20 before tax and other deductions, although actual earnings will depend on the hours offered.
The retailer has not specified how many of the 11,000 positions will be available in Northern Ireland or at individual stores, including Ballymena. Applicants can check the careers website for vacancies in their preferred location.
