An international consultancy firm has chosen Northern Ireland over alternative locations across Great Britain and Ireland for a new professional services hub, creating 12 specialist jobs in Belfast over the next two years.
Leyton UK, the GB office of French-owned consultancy firm Leyton, has opened the hub at Metro House in Belfast as part of its longer-term expansion across the UK and Ireland.
The company helps businesses access tax incentives and has more than 280 specialists working across sectors including science, engineering and software.
Roles across consultancy finance and business development
The 12 jobs will span several specialist disciplines, with roles including business development managers, sales development representatives and consultants working in technical, capital allowance and finance.
Invest Northern Ireland has offered Leyton UK £66,000 towards the creation of the new jobs, alongside advice and guidance provided during the company’s search for a location.
George McKinney, Interim Director of International Business at Invest NI, said the agency had worked closely with Leyton UK through location visits and discussions before the company selected Belfast.
“We are delighted to support Leyton UK as it creates its new professional services hub in Belfast. From our initial engagement with the company through to its several location visits and ongoing discussions, we worked closely with the Leyton UK team to demonstrate the strong investment proposition Northern Ireland has to offer.
“Leyton considered a number of alternative locations across Great Britain and Ireland for its hub, so its decision to choose Belfast is a strong endorsement of our highly skilled workforce, competitive business environment and ability to support international companies as they grow.
“The 12 new jobs will provide high-quality career opportunities across a range of specialist disciplines, including business development, consultancy and finance. We look forward to continuing to work with Leyton UK as it builds upon its presence here.”
Belfast part of long term growth strategy
Leyton UK forms part of the wider Leyton group, whose parent company Thesee Sas is based in France. The consultancy says its Belfast operation will increase its capacity to support existing and new clients.
Brian Graham, Managing Director of Leyton UK and Ireland, said:
“Establishing our new professional services hub in Belfast is an important step in Leyton’s long-term growth strategy across the UK and Ireland. After a series of engagements with Invest NI, it became clear to us Northern Ireland offers access to a highly skilled talent pool and strong business environment making it an excellent location from which to support our clients.
“Our new hub will enable us to expand our delivery capability, strengthen our multidisciplinary advisory services and build a scalable operation that supports both existing and new clients. We are creating opportunities across business development, consultancy and specialist advisory roles, and we are excited to build upon our current talented team in Belfast which will play a key role in our continued growth and success.”
The investment will now see Leyton UK build its Belfast team over the next two years, adding professional roles across consultancy, finance, sales and business development as the company expands its Northern Ireland presence.
