The Seven Towers Leisure Centre in Ballymena has been closed for a number of hours, Friday 13 January, after a member of the public took unwell earlier this morning.
Emergency Service crews along with NI Air Ambulance colleagues attended the incident.
A spokesperson for Mid and East Antrim Borough Council said:
"Emergency services colleagues were called to the Seven Towers Leisure Centre in Ballymena this morning after a member of the public became very unwell.
"Leisure centre staff responded to the situation immediately and provided care and support to the member of the public until the arrival of medics.
"Our thoughts are with the member of the public and we wish them a full recovery.
"We are thankful to our staff and the emergency services for their swift response and level of care provided.
"As a result of the medical emergency, the Seven Towers Leisure Centre will remain closed until 2pm today, from which time all facilities will be reopened to the public.
"We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time."
