Viewers are set for an intense ride into the shadowy world of surveillance, deceit and corporate power as Rabbit Hole, a new high-stakes espionage thriller starring Kiefer Sutherland, makes its UK streaming debut on ITVX from today, Sunday 11th May.
Originally produced by CBS Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution, Rabbit Hole is an eight-part drama that places Sutherland in the role of John Weir — a master of deception caught in a deadly web of manipulation.
As Weir becomes the target of a sinister conspiracy, he finds himself framed for murder by powerful forces capable of shaping public perception and controlling entire populations.
The series marks a return to the thriller genre for Sutherland, best known for his role as Jack Bauer in 24. In Rabbit Hole, Sutherland also takes on duties as executive producer, collaborating with a seasoned creative team that includes writer-directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (This Is Us, WeCrashed), alongside Charlie Gogolak (The Sinner, WeCrashed), Suzan Bymel (Designated Survivor), and Hunt Baldwin (Longmire, The Closer).
Joining Sutherland is a stellar supporting cast featuring veteran British actor Charles Dance, alongside Meta Golding, Enid Graham, Jason Butler Harner, Walt Klink, and Rob Yang.
Sasha Breslau, Head of Content Acquisitions at ITV, said:
“Kiefer Sutherland is magnetic as the lead in this addictive and tense thriller. Rabbit Hole is a perfect fit for the kind of premium drama our audiences expect from ITVX.”
The series has already drawn attention for its timely themes around digital surveillance, disinformation and the fragility of truth in the modern age — topics that resonate strongly in an era of geopolitical uncertainty and information warfare.
With its combination of high production values, fast-paced storytelling, and a charismatic lead performance, Rabbit Hole promises to be a standout addition to ITVX’s growing library of premium international dramas.
Rabbit Hole is available to stream now, exclusively on ITVX.
