HILTON Car Sales, Ballymena is celebrating after being named Small Independent Dealer of the Year at the first ever Northern Ireland Motor Industry Awards 2023.

At a glittering event held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast, and hosted by Pamela Ballantine and radio presenter Curtis McCosh, over 480 guests gathered for the awards that celebrate the exceptional contribution of motoring businesses and professionals in Northern Ireland.

Andy Hilton, owner of Hilton Car Sales was delighted with the win and for his dealership to be recognised for its expertise in high end specialist car sales. Andy said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won the Small Independent Dealer of the Year award.  Hilton Car Sales faced stiff competition in this category, and it really is testament to the hard work over the year that we were acknowledged for our dedication to ensuring that our customers’ needs are met.

“Personally, this award is dedicated to my late father, Davy, who was the founder of the original Hilton Car Sales.  Sadly, he passed away when I was sixteen and at that stage the business had to close.  I was determined to continue our family’s passion for all things car related and after completing my training as a mechanic, I was able to re-establish Hilton Car Sales and grow it into the business it is today, some fifteen years later.

“We pride ourselves in being able to offer a personal service that cannot be matched by the bigger dealerships and, through our many years of experience within the used car motor trade, we have built up a trusted network of dealers who we can rely upon to source the best quality vehicles.  From our showroom in Ballymena, we supply cars to our customers throughout the UK and Ireland and have many repeat customers who come back to us time and time again.”

With more than 100 entries across nineteen prestigious award categories, the NI Motor Industry Awards gave leading motoring businesses and professionals the opportunity to come together and recognise and celebrate the industry’s continued work and growth throughout Northern Ireland.

Sasha Jeffrey, Event Director of The Northern Ireland Motor Industry Awards said,:

“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Hilton Car Sales on winning the Small Independent Dealer of the Year for its dedication, resilience and overall contribution to the local automotive sector.

“Our aim was to create an awards ceremony which would celebrate the best in customer and automotive services, and we were delighted to receive so many entries.  It was a difficult task for the judges to select the winners of each category and Hilton Car Sales should be very proud of their achievement and their award as Small Independent Dealer of the Year.”

The awards were independently adjudicated by a panel of industry experts including Sue Robinson, Chief Executive of the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA); Jason Craig, award-winning Motoring and Motorsport Journalist; and James Stinson, award-winning Motoring Journalist.
