Ballymena Sinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan is calling for a fair pay rise and safe staffing for health workers begin a programme of planned industrial action.
Speaking after attending and speaking to striking health care workers at the picket line in Ballymena this morning, Monday 12 December, Mr McGuigan has said:
“I support the health unions and healthcare workers here in Ballymena and right across the north. They require and deserve a fair pay increase and they deserve safe staffing conditions.
“The Tories need to get real on fair pay awards for public sector workers and end the attacks on our public services.
“Sinn Féin will continue to support our health workers in their demand for a fair pay rise and safe working conditions.”
