Firefighters from Ballymena and Antrim successfully tackled a flat fire in the Dunclug area of Ballymena during the early hours of Sunday morning, 4 May.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 4;30am, with crews quickly arriving at the scene to confront the blaze.
According to the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS), fire personnel deployed breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading further.

Thanks to the swift response and coordinated efforts of the fire crews, the fire was contained and did not spread to a neighbouring property. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
“Crews extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets. They also prevented the fire from spreading to an adjacent property. No one was injured at the incident,” the NIFRS spokesperson added.
It is understood NIFRS are treating the early morning blaze as being deliberately caused.
