Emergency services respond after lorry overturns in Co Antrim

Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic collision which occurred early this morning in Larne, County Antrim.


A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said:


"Officers are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision in the Harbour Highway area of Larne.


"It was reported to police shortly before 7.10am this morning that a lorry had overturned.


"Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service are also in attendance.


"No roads are closed at this time, however, motorists are advised to exercise caution in the area."


A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Ambulance Service commented on the incident saying:


"The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 7:03 on Tuesday, 6 June 2023 following reports of an RTC in the Redlands Road Area, Larne.


"One Ambulance was tasked to the incident.

Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Antrim AreaHospital by Ambulance."
