Emergency services called to sudden death in Ballymena estate

Police and ambulance crews were called to a property in the Ballykeel area of Ballymena on Thursday afternoon following the sudden death of a man.
The incident happened in the Shetland Gardens area shortly before 5pm on Thursday, May 14.
Emergency services, including officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland and colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, attended the scene after reports of the sudden death.
Police say death not being treated as suspicious
Confirming the incident, a spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said:
“Police attended the scene of the sudden death of a man in the Shetland Gardens area of Ballymena, shortly before 5pm today, Thursday 14th May.
“At this stage the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
No further details about the man have been released at this stage.
The presence of emergency services in the Ballykeel area prompted concern locally on Thursday evening as police activity remained ongoing for a period following the incident.
