Deputy Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Tyler Hoey
Deputy Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Tyler Hoey, has publicly commended the Carson Project and its affiliated Back2Front social enterprise team for their recent clean-up operations across a number of local play parks in the Bannside area.
The initiative, which saw coordinated efforts between the Carson Project and Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, focused on improving the cleanliness and safety of parks in Galgorm, Cullybackey, and Portglenone—areas which fall within the Bannside district electoral area.

Fantastic work: Galgorm Play Park
Councillor Hoey, a DUP representative for Bannside, expressed his appreciation for the “fantastic” work delivered by the team, emphasising the positive impact the initiative has had on local families.
“The work the team has carried out to date is fantastic,” said Cllr Hoey.
“Over the past couple of weeks, the Carson Project, in conjunction with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, have been out cleaning the play parks. I would like to mention in particular, the play parks in Bannside.
“The cleaning was well needed, and the children can now enjoy playing in the park, free from dirt. I would like to thank the Carson Project for taking the lead in this.”

Portglenone Play Park
The Back2Front team, which operates under the Carson Project umbrella, is a social enterprise offering professional property cleaning and maintenance services. The group, based in the Harryville area of Ballymena, has been active in promoting both environmental improvement and community involvement across Ballymena.
The initiative is part of a wider community-led drive to maintain public spaces across Mid and East Antrim, enhancing their condition and ensuring they are welcoming and safe for residents of all ages.
