Planning permission has been granted by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for a new apartment development in Ballymena town centre.

The premises have been most recently used as a hair and beauty training school, and a retail unit, and have both been vacant since around 2018.

Approval for the plans are part of a current transformation taking place across the UK, which is seeing the return of residential living space amid town centres.
