Connecting Communities event to inspire local action in Ballymena this August

A free community event designed to bring people together and spark positive change is coming to Ballymena later this month.

Live Here Love Here’s Connecting Communities initiative is returning for summer 2025, hosting a series of community-focused gatherings across Northern Ireland.

The Ballymena event is scheduled for Thursday 28 August 2025 at 12noon in The Showgrounds, and promises to be an exciting and inspiring occasion for anyone interested in community development and environmental action.

The initiative aims to connect volunteers, promote local partnerships, and provide valuable resources to support grassroots projects.

Attendees will have the chance to engage with a range of community organisations including Volunteer Now, True Harvest Seeds, Radius Housing, The Conservation Volunteers, and Ulster GAA. Field Officers from Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful will also be on hand to discuss how they can support local groups and initiatives.

“This is all about bringing people together—to connect volunteers, share ideas, and spark positive change in local areas,” organisers said.
