Police launch investigation after ‘sudden death’ of man in Ballymena


An investigation has been launched after a man, named locally as Noel Johnston, tragically fell to his death from a Choice Housing Association apartment complex in High Street, Ballymena.


A police spokesperson said:

“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a man in the High Street area of Ballymena last night, Friday 15 October.


“It was reported that at around 6:40pm a man fell after climbing out of a window of a flat. Despite the best efforts of police and NIAS the man was pronounced dead at the scene.



“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident and there are no further details.”


Police were in attendance in the flats complex at the time of the incident and as is normal practice The Police Ombudsman’s office has been informed.
