Norma Craig has raised a phenomenal £6,700 for the charity Air Ambulance NI, which will potentially help save the lives of 3 individuals who have been in a traumatic incident or extreme medical emergency.
The charity, working with partners at the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service exists to ensure the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service is there for those who need it and currently it is needed on average twice per day.
The Broughshane woman has once again undertook a series of raffles, at the tribute nights held at her workplace, the Ballygally Castle Hotel, during December, January and February.
The most recent events raised £3,000 which was handed over to the Head of Fundraising at the charity, Kerry Anderson.
Kerry said:
“We are so grateful to Norma for her continuing support. Her three years of support is wonderful and essentially it helps to enable the aircraft lift off to the next critically ill or injured patient."
Norma would like to thank the General Manager at the hotel, Scott Weatherup and the staff for their continued support and special thanks on the nights of the raffle to Jim and Alison Weatherup.
Norma said:
“I secure all the raffle prizes and enjoy being able to hand over such an important contribution to the air ambulance service. We all hope to never need it, but it’s great to know it is there.”
