A multi-agency rescue operation took place on Monday (15 November) at Ramore Head in Portrush, County Antrim, to assist an injured person at the base of the cliff.
Coastguard teams from Coleraine, Ballycastle, Portmuck, and Larne tasked to the incident.
The casualty was located by officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) and after bring recovered using a Coastguard rope rescue stretcher, received initial critical care from Coastguard officers and RNLI crew, before NIAS paramedics and HEMS doctors arrived.
Police asked the public to avoid the area while emergency services worked to rescue the person.
The casualty was transported to to hospital by HEMS Air Ambulance.
