Ballymena man’s death being treated as “not suspicious”



The death of a man in Ballymena today (Tuesday 21 December) is being treated as not suspicious.

Emergency Services, including police and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) rushed to the scene of the incident on the Church Road, in the Glenwherry area, outside of the town, shortly after 4pm this afternoon.


It is understood the man was in his 80’s.

A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) commented:


“Police attended a sudden death in the Church Road area of Ballymena today (Tuesday 21st December).

“The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”


There are no further details at present.
