Rescue operation underway in County Antrim after number of animals enter slurry tank



Crews from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) have been tasked to a farm in County Antrim on New Years Eve after a number of animals got stuck in a slurry tank.

A call for assistance was received shortly before 9am this morning. It is understood approximately 10 cows and one bull entered the slurry at a farm on the Breckenhill Road, Doagh, near Ballyclare


NIFRS Large Animal Rescue Team, Specialist Rescue Team, as well as crews from Ballyclare, Ballymena, Antrim, Cadogan Fire Stations are at the incident.


The incident is ongoing.
