Weather warning issued for Northern Ireland ahead of weekend

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning ahead of the weekend advising that heavy rainfall on Saturday morning may lead to some travel disruption across Northern Ireland.
The warning is effective from 4:00am to 11:00am on Saturday morning, 30th December.
A Met Office spokesperson said:
"A band of rain, occasionally heavy, will move northeast across Northern Ireland on Saturday morning. 15 to 25 mm of rain is expected in a few hours. This falling onto saturated ground may lead to some local flooding and transport disruption."
