OPPORTUNITY | Prince’s Trust Team Programme launching soon at NRC Ballymena


The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is returning to Ballymena’s Northern Regional College this March, providing a fantastic opportunity for all 16-24 year old’s who are not currently in employment or full-time education.

The exciting twelve week Team Programme focuses on personal development, employability and community skills.

As part of the course, participants will gain a recognised qualification from the Prince’s Trust, undertake a two week work placement (COVID restrictions depending), complete a community project and many other aspects, including two days of outdoor activities, all free of charge.


Funding will be available to cover any travel expenses that occur, and to help with any child care costs.

Over the twelve weeks, participants can enjoy different a number of different segments:

• Week 1 | Getting to know one another.

• Week 2 | Outdoor Activities and Team Building

• Weeks 3 - 6 | The planning and delivery of a community project

• Weeks 7 - 8 | Work placement for two weeks (16 hours minimum and dependant upon Covid restrictions)

• Week 9 | CV Building, Interview Skills and Career Planning

• Week 10 - 11| Completing challenges with other groups within the community (for example, the elderly, other youth groups, or community groups)

• Week 12 | Presentation Skills and Celebration
