Translink has been working extensively with multiple agencies and mobilised quickly to restore Metro, Glider and Ulsterbus services safely across the network.

From this morning, Sat 25th January, normal scheduled Saturday bus services will operate however there will be some diversions in place due to ongoing road closures and clearance work in the wake of the storm.

A spokesperson for Translink commented:

“There has been unprecedented damage with dozens of incidents across the rail network with the storm bringing trees down on tracks and damage to barriers and other structures.

“Specialist teams are carrying out safety checks of the infrastructure. They will continue working overnight to clear the railway lines and get vital repairs underway to introduce the gradual safe return of rail services as quickly as possible for our passengers over the weekend.
