Police have launched an operation at a block of flats in the Orkney Drive area of Ballykeel, Ballymena, on Friday evening (29 July).
Two vans along with several police cars are at the location.
It is understood, according to locals, that drug dealing activity has been happening in the area, and following the murder of Victor Hamilton whose body was discovered on Wednesday morning nearby, the community have been calling for action from police and political representatives to tackle the scourge.
The block of flats was also the scene of a disturbance on Thursday night, which resulted in a 51-year-old male being arrested, and on Friday being charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
The man is due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Monday August 25th.
