Police appeal for public assistance following disorder and attacks on officers in Ballymena

Police have issued a public appeal for information as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of disorderly incidents and assaults on officers in Ballymena that began on Monday, 9 June 2025.


In a statement released today, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has asked for help identifying another individual who they believe may have information or involvement in the events.



The Image of person of interest has been circulated, and officers are urging those individuals to come forward.


A PSNI spokesperson said:


“Can you identify the following individual? Police would like to speak with these persons, in connection with our ongoing investigation into a number of incidents of disorder and attacks on police officers since Monday, 9th June 2025 in the Ballymena area.”



The PSNI has emphasised that anyone who may recognise the individuals or possess relevant information should refrain from commenting publicly and instead contact police directly.

Members of the public can share information or upload images and video footage—including CCTV, mobile phone or dash cam recordings—via the Major Incident Public Portal.



Alternatively, reports can be submitted online using the PSNI’s non-emergency reporting form.

Police continue to investigate the nature and scale of the disturbances and are determined to bring those responsible for violence or criminal behaviour to justice.
