NI Executive update on dancing and other restrictions

It has been reported that the Executive have decided to relax current restrictions around dancing and nightclubs.

It is understood that dancing will be permitted again in Northern Ireland from 31 October, and ministers have agreed from that date that nightclubs can reopen across the Province.

Jayne McCormack from the BBC is also reporting:

• Restrictions on numbers allowed to meet in your home removed from law (currently 15 from 4 households);

• Audiences don't need to stay seated when watching indoors performances.

• Legal requirement to socially distance in pubs and restaurants to end from the 31 October - now guidance only.

Full update will be published later today.
