Ever Unique Productions Co-director Hannah Reilly, from Ahoghill, is looking for young people (aged 13-19) who would like to get involved in an upcoming online production of Teen, which examines social and emotional issues faced by contemporary teenagers.
‘Teen’, by Kirsten Doherty, deals with important topics such as body image, peer group pressure, jealousy, unrequited love, anxiety, friendship struggles, sexuality, and relationships with parents.
Every scene is based on real life accounts and events; some funny, some challenging, some heartbreaking, but all real. Both plays consist of vignettes written within the genre of Epic Theatre.
Hannah said: “We are committed to building young people’s confidence and resilience through theatre and film. This is an exciting opportunity for any teenagers who have missed out on live performances in the past year and we would like to encourage all those who are interested to get in touch as soon as possible.”
Hannah will direct this upcoming performance, along with Martina McAfee, who are both industry professionals with credits in The Mac, The Brian Friel Theatre, and Belvoir Theatres.
Auditions will take place on Monday 29 March. If you are interested in taking part in the production, please get in touch with Hannah by emailing:
Hannah will reply to emails, with all relevant audition material and allocate a time slot to meet with the Ever Unique Productions team via Zoom.
If successful in casting, the participation fee of £70 can then be paid, with rehearsals commencing on Thursday 15 April (6-8pm), running for 9 weeks.
This production will be performed live via Zoom on Friday 18 June.
